Suggest a better descriptionCut out core of cabbage and steam in a steamer basket in large pan. Remove leaves as they become soft enough.
While cabbage is steaming, combine beef, rice, onion & egg in a bowl. Mix well.
Put small amount of meat mixture on a cabbage leaf. Fold leaf around meat and secure with toothpick if necessary. Repeat until beef is used up.
A small amount of left over cabbage can be chopped and put into bottom of slow cooker.
Place cabbage rolls into slow cooker.
Stir sugar into tomato sauce and pour over cabbage rolls.
Cook on low for 9-10 hours.
Nice served with baked potatoes and steamed carrots.
