Suggest a better description1) Sort out the fresh cranberries (keeping the firm ones and discarding the soft). Wash and let dry at room temperature
2) While the cranberries are drying, combine 4 cups of sugar and 1 cup of water. Using a candy thermometer, bring the mixture to a temperature of 235 degrees F
3) Remove the sugar mixture from the stove and let cool to 100 degrees F
4) Mix the dry canberries into the sugar mixture to coat and, working in small batches, toss with the remaining 2 cups of sugar.
