Sarah's Recipe Cheddar bay biscuits with butter glaze
Biscuits
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.
2. Combine flour, shortening, 1t salt, and 1T baking powder with pastry blender
3. Add 4T cold butter, cut in with pastry blender until butter is pea-sized.
4. Add cheese, milk, 1/4t garlic powder, and 1/4t Old Bay combine with hands. Mix just until combined, do not over mix.
5. Drop by 1/4 cup portions onto cookie sheet. At this point, you can freeze individual biscuits on a plate or cookie sheet. Once frozen you can put them in a larger bag; the butter glaze mixture also freezes well (for future/easy Cheddar Bay goodness).
6. Bake for 11-13 minutes until golden brown. If you're baking from frozen, you can put them on the cookie sheet and let them sit at room temperature for a bit (while the oven preheats) before putting them in the oven.
7. Brush the glaze over the biscuits. -Enjoy!
To make Glaze combine
3T butter melted
1/2t garlic powder
3/4t parsley flakes
4 shakes of Old Bay seasoning.
