Boil water for potatoes. Peel and cut up potatoes. Put potatoes in boiling water. Cut leftover beef into chunks. Put in food processor and process until shredded, but not too small. Make White Sauce (see other recipe). Shred cheese, drain corn. Mash potatoes. Butter casserole dish. Mix white sauce with meat. Layer casserole dish: meat on bottom, then corn, then cheese, then potatoes. Hold some cheese out to sprinkle on top. Bake at 350 for about 1/2 hour or until all is warm and cheese is melted. Believe it or not, this is great when you smush it all together and put ketchup on it! The kids love it! We have no idea where the name came from. It's not Chinese and it's not a pie! My grandmother always called it that, and I don't ever recall asking her why.....
