Mix your own Sangria and give as Christmas gifts.
Chop up fruit.
In a large bowl or other container, mix Merlot, ginger ale, sugar, and spices.
Add in fruit & cinnamon sticks. Allow to marinate & chill for at least 2 hours.
To serve immediately:
Pour over ice and add a fresh mint leaf.
To gift:
DO NOT ADD CINNAMON STICKS.
Using a funnel, pour into 3 or more bottles, seal with wine stoppers. Wrap festively, including 2 - 3 cinnamon sticks in your decorative wrap, along with a tag reminding the recipient to keep the Sangria refrigerated.
Make sure to have 3 bottles, twine for the cinnamon sticks, and wine sealers on hand.
