Rich and sweet, counterpart to a brownie but it's made using vanilla instead of cocoa powder.
Prep:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Dice butter and set aside to soften
Roughly chop chocolate
Beat 1 egg in small bowl.
Instructions:
In a large bowl, stir together brown sugar & granulated sugar & butter until combined.
Add vanilla extract and 1/2 of beaten egg and stir until combined.
Add flour, baking soda, and 1/8 teaspoon salt to bowl with butter mixture and stir until combined.
Gently fold in chocolate, then pour into tin, reshaping to fill tin.
Place blondie tin on baking sheet, transfer to oven and bake until light brown on outside and center is set, 25-30 minutes.
Remove and immediately sprinkle over maldon sea salt.
Cut blondie into pieces and enjoy while warm.
Make sure you only use 1/2 of the beaten egg.
Mixing butter and sugar together takes a bit of elbow grease, stir vigorously and keep going until the mixture is thoroughly combined.
