Delicious side dish that's simple to make, unusual and goes with many entrees.
Combine cold milk and cornmeal. Cook, stirring, until mixture bubbles and thickens. Stir in spices, eggs and onion. Beat in 1 cup of the cheese. Spread mixture into shallow 1 1/2 qt. oblong casserole dish. Mixture will be about 1 1/2 inches thick. Chill. Unmold and cut with knife or cookie cutter into desired shapes. Place pieces in a single layer in a buttered casserole dish. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake at 350 for 20 min. or until lightly browned and hot.
