Suggest a better descriptionPreheat oven to 300F. In a bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder.In a second bowl cream butter and sugar with an electric mixer. Add egg and vanilla and beat on medium until smooth. Add the flour mixture blending at low speed until combined and firm. Form 1 inch diameter balls, and place on ungreased baking sheets, 1 inch apart. With the small end of a melon baller, scoop out the center of the dough balls. Do not scoop out bottom. Use removed dough to form more cookies. Place 1/2 tsp. jam into the center of each cookie. Bake 25 6o 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool. Makes about 3-4 dozen.
