Suggest a better descriptionBring broth to simmer in medium sauce pan, but do not boil. Keep warm.
Cook peas in boiling water. Min or until crisp. Drain and rinse w/ cold water.
Heat oil in large sauce pan over medium heat. Add leek to pan, cook 5 min or until tender, stirring frequently. Add garlic, cook 30 sec. Stir in rice, cook 1 min. Add wine, cook 2 min or until liquid is almost absorbed stirring constantly. Add broth, ½ cup at a time, stirring constantly until each portion is absorbed before adding next (~20 min).
Add ham to pan, cook 3 min. Stir in peas, cheese, and pepper.
Add liquid 1 cup at a time to rice, stirring constantly, and allow to absorb before adding more.
