Hawaiian Chicken Salad

Great Chicken Salad recipe for anytime of the year! Great as a sandwich or with crackers!


2 cans swanson white meat chicken
1 can crushed pineapple in syrup
1 8-oz container cream cheese
2 stalks celery
1 coconut or chopped pecans
1 loaf round hawaiian bread or crackers

Original recipe makes 10



Let cream cheese soften to room temp. Drain meat well and blot on paper towels to dry meat. Drain pineapple well. Chop celery med to fine. Mix meat, pineapple, celery, cream cheese in large bowl with fork. Cover and chill several hours or overnite is better. To serve cut the center out of the bread and stuff with salad. Garnish with coconut or pecans. Can also be served with party crackers.

If there is a nut allergy, the pecans can be left out without altering the taste. [I posted this recipe.]
