Great Oktoberfest recipe!
Arrange potatoes in overlapping rows in a shallow casserole dish.
Fry, drain and dice the bacon, leaving the bacon fat in the pan. Set prepared bacon aside.
Fry onion in bacon fat until tender.
Mix the flour, sugar, salt & pepper together in a small bowl, and then stir into the cooked onions.
Add the vinegar and water to the onion mixture and stir for about 2 minutes over medium fire until thickened.
Pour the thickened sauce over the potatoes in the casserole dish.
Garnish with the bacon and minced onions. Serve warm.
