In medium skillet, fry bacon until crisp and golden brown. With slotted spoon transfer to paper towel and reserve. Whisk flour into bacon drippings and cook flour over medium heat for 1 or 2 minutes. Remove from heat and slowly whisk in boiling water, vinegar, sugar, salt, paprika, mustard, and pepper to taste. Return to medium heat and, stirring constantly, cook for 2 minutes, until sauce is smooth and thick. Taste and adjust seasoning. Add bacon to sauce and heat through. Use immediately.
