Mix pop corn and nuts in large bowl
Combine sugar, margerine, and syrup in 1 1/2 quart saucepan.
Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly
Boil, stirring occasionally for 5-8 minures or until it forms a stiff ball in cold water. (If using a candy thermometer, should be between soft and hard ball on thermometer)
Remove from heat, stir in vanilla
Pour over pop corn mixture and mix to coat well
Spread on cookie sheet to cool; After cooling, break apart into snack size pieces
