Pour lemon juice over apples, unless you feel they are tart enough already.
Take one pie crust out of freezer, let thaw while preparing filling.
Combine Splenda, Brown Sugar, Flour, Cinnamon, Salt and Cardamom. Blend lightly. Add to apples and toss gently. Pour apples into frozen pie crust. Carefully place thawed pie crust on top and press sides lightly. If the crust falls apart, don't worry, that adds to the character of the finished pie! Brush top with milk. Wrap outside of crust with 2" strips of aluminum foil to keep them from burning.
Bake at 450 for 15 minutes. Turn oven down to 375 for 30 minutes. Remove foil. Bake an additional 15 minutes at 375. Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack.
