Rub the rib rub all over the meat up to 24 hrs. ahead. Preheat oven to 225?. Place ribs directly on center rack with a cookie sheet underneath. Cook for 4 hours. Transfer ribs to cookie sheet and brush with barbecue sauce. Cook for 30 more minutes.
