Fabulous cookies originally from The Joy of Cooking. Introduced to us by Suzanne Dychuk.
Preheat oven to 350
Cream butter.
Add brown sugar and sugar and cream well.
Combine the egg, vanilla and milk and beat into creamed mixture until smooth.
Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt together. Then add to the wet ingredients.
When beaten smooth, add the oats.
Then add chocolate chips, raisins or coconut.
Beat the mixture well.
Drop cookies 2 inches apart on a well-greased cookie sheet and bake 10-12 minutes or until light brown.
