The best cake in town. My Grandmothers Recipe.
Cream butter; add sugar a little at a time. Beat until light.
Add eggs all at once.
Beat entire mixture about 5 minutes or until very fluffy.
Add vanilla, then add sifted flour and baking powder alternately with the milk.
Beat only until batter is smooth (do not over beat when adding milk and flour).
Separate batter into 3 bowls (2 cups per color (pink, green, yellow)
Pour pink batter into tube then green then yellow (pan should be half filled).
Bake 325(F) degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes then raise heat to 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 to 20 minutes.
Let cool. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
