Suggest a better description1. Combine the sugar and 1 cups water in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and stir to dissolve the sugar. When
the mixture comes to a boil, remove from the heat and set aside to cool.
2. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients for the punch, including the cooled simple syrup. Stir to combine.
3. To serve, fill a wine glass with ice and fill with punch. Garnish with an orange slice and maraschino cherry.
(Makes about 13 cups)
