Can cook up to a 16 lb turkey in the NuWave. It will be very moist and flavorful
Remove giblets from turkey
Rinse turkey and pat dry
Place turkey breast side up on the rack in the 1" position (in the NuWave oven
Wearing rubber gloves, pour oil over turkey making sure to include the cavity. Rub oil into the outside skin of the turkey.
Sprinkle salt inside the cavity and over the outside of the turkey
Place butter, onion, carrot, celery and garlic inside the cavity of the turkey
Turn turkey breast side down on the oven rack, brush oil over the back and salt
Push the wing behind the leg
Use the extender ring. If the turkey starts to get too brown, cover it with parchment paper
Cook the turkey to 170 - 180 degrees F. (12 minutes per pound or 15 minutes per pound if the turkey is stuffed).
Cook the turkey for half the total time.
Turn the turkey breast side up and cook the remaining time. Check temperature with a meat thermometer.
Let turkey sit 1/2 to 1 hour before carving.
If frozen, you can cook it in the NuWave for 15 mins per pound or 18 minutes per pound if stuffed.
