Our favorite Christmas cookies.
Cream the butter, sugar and vanilla extract.
Sift the flour and salt together; then incorporate them into the butter mix.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Form into 1" balls and place them 1/2" apart on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper or a silpad.
Bake at 400F for 10 to 12 minutes. Don't let them brown. Cool slightly, then roll them in confectioners sugar.
You want them cooked but not browned.
