Knead dough until smooth, dry and pliable. Cover and let rise in warm place until double in size.
Roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Brush entire surface with egg wash. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and raisins (optional).
Roll up like a jelly roll and cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces.
Place in pan and let rise to desired size.
Bake approximately 15 minutes at 375°F.
