Preheat oven to 425 F.
Brush both sides of the bread slices with the 3 tablespoons olive oil and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 5 minutes, turning once until lightly toasted.
Mix tomatoes, garlic, 2 teaspoons olive oil, basil, balsamic vinegar and capers. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
Spoon tomato mixture onto toasts and top with a slice of mozzarella.
Bake for an additional 2 to 3 minutes, until cheese starts to melt and the toppings are heated through.
