A hearty vegetarian stew that could replace a hearty beef stew. Cooked slowly in a crock pot.


1 large Red Onion
3 medium Carrots
2 medium Potatos
9 oz Tofu; Extra Firm
1 medium Tomato
1/4 cup Flour
4 cups Vegetable Broth
2 HP Sauce
2 cloves Garlic
Bay Leaf
1 tsp Paprika
Fresh Sage; to taste
Fresh Parsley; to taste
Ground Pepper; to taste
Kosher Salt; to taste

Cube or chop coarsely all vegetables and tofu. Add them to the crock pot. Add all seasonings to crock pot. Pour vegetable broth/stock into pot. Cook on Low or medium 2-5 hours, till all ingredients are cooked through, depending on taste.

We liked it. Will add more seasoning and sauce next time. Very filling.

Quite possibly the nastiest thing I have ever put in my mouth. I don't know if it was the tofu that made it taste horrible, but it was inedible. I feel really bad but I will be throwing the entire pot of this out. I can't even figure out a way to save it. Yuck.
