Suggest a better descriptionMix flour, oatmeal, buttermilk powder, baking powder, salt and soda. Stir in 1-1/2 cups water, the beaten eggs and oil until smooth. Add almond paste (Stir in a little more water if batter becomes too thick). Preheat your waffle iron and bake per your personal preference. Makes about 12 waffles.
Almond paste is the by-product of making almond milk from fresh almonds. Adjust to your taste or leave out completely.
You can substitute buttermilk for the water and buttermilk powder.
You can also use butter instead of coconut oil.
To make it gluten free substitute Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free Baking Flour for the whole wheat flour, works great!
