A perfect compliment to Grandmother's Custard (see link below)
Soak the gelatin in 1/2 cup of water. Boil cinnamon sticks in one cup of water for 15 minutes. Pour boiling mixture over soaked gelatin. Add the rind of one lemon to the juice of the two lemons, the sherry and sugar and enough water to make one quart and mix well. Strain the mixture into bowl, adding extra lemon juice to taste, and allow to set covered in the refrigerator. Serve plain or topped with Grandmother's custard!
It may take a few tries to get the flavor to your liking by adding a little lemon juice, but it is worth it.
