Hi Runto, Re Kitchen Bouquet, use to colour and thicken. A quick cheat is to use dark soy sauce, however this will add flavour and not be suitable in some dishes. To make here is a quick recipe.
1/2 cup of brown sugar 2 cups of water or (1 cup of water, 1 cup of stock) Heat brown sugar to caramelise, (turn dark brown) over gentle heat then add the liquid to sugar keep stirring. Bottle and use as required. Jamieo
