I made a few adjustments to this recipe and it turned out great!
I left out the apple juice and red pepper instead using a double shot Jack Daniel's Bourbon and I finely grated slightly more fresh ginger than the recipe called for and added carrots.
I first let the chicken get a nice texture then removed it and added the carrots to the drippings, letting them cook until they got a little char.
Meanwhile in a mixing bowl I made the sauce with my fresh giniger and added it to the skillet to simmer.
