Lamb Curry with Yoghurt (Dahi Lamb)

Lamb Curry with Yoghurt (Dahi Lamb)

I was looking for something to do with Lamb and Cardamom seeds and found this. It was my first time making Indian and it was very good! I added shallots since i didn't have enough onions and some nonfat sour cream as i didn't have all the yogurt called for. My only complaint, which is the same when eating at a restaurant, is all the fat that floats at the top. I strained it off and didn't miss it at all. Too bad I can't do that at the restaurant!

Creamy Butternut Squash and Roasted Pear Soup

Creamy Butternut Squash and Roasted Pear Soup

Very simple to make, one of the easiest. I put the veggies in the oven on a timer before work and they were done and cool by the time i got home then just prepared the rest in about 10 minutes. I substituted nonfat sour cream for the cream since its a regular dinner, and it was still delicious! I would use half and half for a dinner party or guests. Note to other cooks - sour cream can separate slightly compared to cream. My husband loved it and so did I! I may make this recipe this coming Thanksgiving rather than pumpkin soup.

Fast and simple. For something different I added carrots, also good.

Apple Butter Cupcakes

Apple Butter Cupcakes

I substituted mango puree for the apple butter. Very good, will continue tweaking it and making it again.

Seafood, Avocado And Hearts of Palm Salad

Seafood, Avocado And Hearts of Palm Salad

This is a lovely salad, We enjoyed it tremendously. It made quite a bit more dressing than was needed but if you prefer a sufficient amount of extra for dipping other things then the quantity is right. Variations: also good with Miracle whip vs. Mayonnaise. Also good with lime vs lemon juice as is your preference.
