50 years old, been cooking my whole life. Not much of a baker but I've tried just about everything else. Adventurous taste.

Kashmiri Gobi

Very flavorful. I used ground cumin and cardoman rather than seeds and didn't have raisins but the result was still excellent. — gilducha 6/16/2013

Roasted Cauliflower

Roasted Cauliflower

This is fabulous. Even guests who don't like cauliflower will like this. I was amazed how sweet and crisp the end result was. Roasted slightly longer than recommended the cauliflower was a beautiful golden brown. — sgrishka 10/21/2009

Asian Inspired Salmon Carpaccio

The quality of the soy sauce is important. Use a light soy not too salty. I prefer Tamari. [I posted this recipe.] — Sargasso 9/30/2009
Garlic - Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops

Garlic - Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops

Get the oil just right. Too hot and the breadcrumbs burn before the pork is done. Skip the tongs and use you fingers to dip. — sgrishka 9/26/2009
Awesome Jalapeno Poppers

Awesome Jalapeno Poppers

I once asked my wife to core the jalapenos while I was at work. We were having a garden party and there were about 50 peppers to prepare. Unfortunately I didn't tell her to where gloves. Her hands were burn't red from the pepper oils and I had to take her to the hospital. I don't think she'll ever forgive me for that. Be warned if your making a lot of these where gloves!! — CookingPassion 9/26/2009

Shrimp Curry with Yu Choy and Kabocha Squash

The mildly bitter flavor of yu choy plays nicely against the sweet curry sauce and kabocha squash. Chinese broccoli or broccoli rabe (rapini) can be used instead. Serve with white rice. [I posted this recipe.] — Sargasso 9/25/2009

In the fall I make this regularly with fresh tomatoes. Just dice up some fresh romas and throw them into the cooked pasta. After sitting for a couple of minutes its all good. Add some shrimp lightly sauted in butter and garlic to jazz it up. — lizmari 9/25/2009

I saw your review on the poppers, I once did that when I was about 25 and I was watching TV and had my fingers on my lips in aww (dont remember what I was watching) but when I got up, oh boy it hit me, I had to keep a sink full of ice water and everytime a wave came through I would stick my hands in that water. For 2 days it was wave after wave. I grow my own peppers now and have so much respect for them. I dont care what anyone says, WEAR GLOVES. She sounded kind of iffy on that. LOL Hope your wife doesn't hate you too much for that.
