I have one of the best jobs in the world! As "Dave the Wine Merchant" I taste thousands of wine every year. Eliminating the vast majority, I introduce the lucky few to members of my online wine sampling club. Of the thousands I taste, only about sixty will make it to that year's "Wine Discoveries"
But how can one love wine without loving food, and vice versa? I simply don't think it's possible. So as an avid home chef for over 30 years, I enjoy home-testing recipes to share with our club members. Each recipe must not only be good and easily prepared at home in an average kitchen (well, a foodie's kitchen) they must showcase the specific wines going out to members in their next shipment.

Soooo many!! But here are a few that come to mind:
- Mariner's Mussels
- Slow-cooked pulled pork
- Lamb burgers with balsamic onions and crumbled goat cheese
- A perfect omelette
- Potatoes, potatoes, potatoes! (my Celtic roots?)
- Braised anything
- Ribolita
- Home-made Agnolotti
- Duck confit in or on just about anything
- A perfectly roasted chicken, hot or cold
Now I'm hungry... see you later.

Overnight WafflesThis is a favorite breakfast at our weekend farm in Boonville.. I've never made these waffles without getting raves from our guests. You'll never go back to your old recipe again!
