I live in San Antonio, TX. I love to spend time with friends and of course, I love to cook. I work for an Investment Advisory firm. I also love to visit new spots around the state and take photos.

I love the food that is common to San Antonio and other areas around Texas. However, I also love to try other foods that are popular in other parts of the country. My best cooking experiences always revolve around the holidays and times where friends and family are gathering.

Italian Sausage Baked ZitiThis is a good recipe, but as in most Italian dishes, I modified it somewhat to make it my own. Mixed the sauce with the pasta to make sure the Ziti was covered - added some minced garlic to the sausage as it was browning and used more cheese than called for. This was a very good dish and one I'll do again.

Cajun Chicken PAstaI'm giving it 4 stars only because I interpreted the recipe to my suiting. I used olive oil to saute with (no mention of butter in the required list of items). I used much more cajun spice than mentioned and cut the chicken into small pieces. None of that was mentioned in the recipe. It was a very good recipe after making those few changes.

Bam's Seven Layer DipThis is a tried and true favorite for guests and family alike. Great to take to "pot lucks" and parties.

French Onion Pork Chop CasseroleThis is a "family" favorite, already. Very easy, affordable and tasty. It also looks good - and could be served to guests. It is a little heavy - but VERY good comfort food. I will definitely make it again!

Toll House Cookies - Original 1939 Nestle RecipeThe classic chocolate chip cookie. I make it a lot and imported it to avoid the using the back of the chocolate chip bag. This is a FOREVER favorite.

Mom's Peach CobblerA very tasty and pretty cobbler. I will make it again! I might use a little more sugar and a little less lemon, next time.

Outback Steakhouse Alice Springs ChickenThis is a very unique and tasty recipe that I will definitely make again. It is very heavy, so probably best not to make too often. I served it with steamed broccoli, in order to add SOMETHING health to it! Double it and make it for guests! It's attractive to serve, too.

Country-Style Chicken and DumplingsI make this often. It is a family favorite

Sauteed AsparagusI actually added a tbsp of dijon mustard to the asparagus as it was sauteing. Added just a little more zip.

Roasted Trout with BaconIt was not a bad recipe, but I probably would not make it again. It was an unattractive dish.
