Easy homemade buns.
Beat together first 6 ingredients. Mix yeast and 1 cup of white flour/1cup of wheat flour. Add to liquids. Slowly add 7-9 cups of white and wheat flour, mixing and kneading until you have a soft dough. Oil bowl and top of dough. Let rise in a warm place in a towel covered bowl for 15 min. Punch down. Let rise 15 min. Shape into buns and place 12 buns per cookie sheet, cover with towel and let rise for 1 hr. (I make a dozen buns and use rest of dough to make small loaf of bread and a dozen cinnamon buns). Bake at 350F for 18 min.
Cinnamon Buns
Flatten dough on oiled surface. Spread with soft margarine, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Roll up and cut into 1-1 1/2 inch slices. Let rise on greased pan for 1 hour. Bake at 350F for 15-20mins.
For sticky bottoms
1/4 cup butter (margarine)
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp water
-boil together for 1min and immediately pour into 9x13" pan
-tilt pan to cover bottom evenly
-arrange buns flat side down on syrup
