Measure oatmeal and place in a bowl. Melt butter and pour over oatmeal. Stir. Add sugar, baking powder, flour, salt, vanilla, egg. Mix in cranberries and chocolate chips
Line cookies with foil, spray foil with non stick cooking spray. Drop by rounded teaspoonful onto foil, leaving space for spreading. (don't crowd!). No more than 6-8 per sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes. Remove from oven and cook.
Pull foil off cookies onto wire rack. Let cookies cool completely and carefully peel from foil.
Store in cool, dry place (refrigerator is not dry)
You could increase cranberries and reduce chocolate chips to help drop calories
