Suggest a better descriptionPlace the asparagus in a shallow dish and set aside. Combine the remaining ingredients (except the lettuce) in a blender and mix well. Pour the mixture over the asparagus and marinate for 1 hour; drain. Place the asparagus on the lettuce leaves. Garnish with strips of pimento, if desired and remaining marinade. Yields 6 servings.
