Peel and slice 8 potatoes in salted water with two bay leaves until barely tender.
Prepare the sauce by combining the butter, soup, sour cream, and cheese.
Drain potatoes, then pour them into a sprayed 13x9 casserole dish. Pour sauce over potatoes and mix lightly. top with 1/2 cup grated cheese and 2 cups crushed corn flakes (optional).
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes
