Butter the 13x9 pan, place ripped bread into large bowl. Mix together eggs, milk and drained pineapple, pour over bread and gently mix together. Place in pan, refrigerate overnight. Pour 1/2 Cup of butter over casserole immediately before baking, do not cover, bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour or longer.
