1. In a medium bowl, stir together the strawberries with the sugar, salt, pepper and balsamic vinegar. Taste, and adjust ingredients to your liking. Let the strawberry mixture sit for 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
2. Stir the basil into the strawberries.
3. Place the burrata on a small plate and drizzle with olive oil.
4. Spread the burrata onto the baguette slices, top with the strawberry mixture and enjoy! You can let everyone "build" their own appetizer or prepare them yourself before serving.
