Dinner rolls made in a muffin tin, no shaping required.
Combine 2 cups flour and yeast. Heat milk, shortening, sugar and salt to 115 to 120 degrees. Add to flour. Add egg. Beat at low speed one to two minutes, scraping bowl. Beat three minutes at high speed. Add remaining flour; beat on low two minutes or until smooth. Cover; let rise and double. This will take about an hour. Beat down. Let rest five minutes. Spoon into greased muffin cups filling half full. Cover; let rise until nearly double. This will take about one-half hour. Bake at 375 degrees 15 to 18 minutes.
