Peel back husks, leaving husks attached at the base. Pull off and scared corn silks. Rinse and dry corn. Before grilling, spread or brush softened or melted butter onto corncobs. Fold husks around ears; tie with string. Grill on the rack of an uncovered grill over medium coals for 25 min or until kernels are tender, turning occasionally. After grilling, top corncobs with cheddar cheese; cooked, crumbled bacon; and sliced or chopped green onions.
