Suggest a better descriptionHeat olive oil in 2-3 quart dutch oven over medium-high heat
Stir in chicken
Saute for 4-5 minutes or until cooked
Remove chicken with slotted spoon to bowl; reserve pan drippings
Stir onion into pan drippings; Cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly
Stir in broth, green chilis, garlic powder, cumin, oregano, cilantro and red pepper
Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occassionally
Stir in chicken and undrained beans
Simmer until heated through, stirring frequently
Ladle into soup bowls
Alternative: combine cooked chicken and sauteed onions with the remaining ingredients in slow cooker and mix well. Cook on medium 2-3 hours or on low 5-6 hours
Garnish with fresh cilantro, sour cream, salsa, tortilla chips
