Pit sandwich together. Cut in diagonal. Heat oil to 365
Dip 1/2 sandwich in batter. Let excess drip. Place in oil 3 min each side.
Cool one half at a time. Place in coolie sheet in warm oven until all are complete.
Sprinkle sugar. Serve with preserves.
