Easy dish and main ingredient for large amount of recipes.
1. Pit all chick-peas into pot and add 1.5 liter of little warm water.
2. Close lid and wait 4 hours(minimum).
3. After 4 hours change water and set on the high fire.
4. After boiling set fire to medium-low and leave for 1 hour
5. After one hour of cooking add salt
6. Wait for 10-15 minutes and you can start trying your chick-peas for softness.
If you want more firm chick-peas for frying you stop cooking now, if you need more soft chick-peas for hummus you can wait for 15-30 minutes more.
Cooking time(may vary a little):
- firm(for frying) - 60-70 minutes
- firm-soft (for salads or other dishes) - 70-90 minutes
- soft (for hummus) - 90-120 minutes
