Suggest a better descriptionCook broccoli according to pkg directions. Cook onion wedges in salted boiling water until tender. Drain both and set aside. In another sauce pan melt the 2 Tbsp butter. Stir in flour, salt, and dash of pepper. Add milk. Cook and stir until mixture is melted. Stir in broccoli and onions. Pour mixture into a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Top with American Cheese. Melt the other 2 Tbsp. butter. Mix in bread crumbs. Spread over casserole. Bake in oven for 35 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
