Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease and flour a 12" x 18" jelly roll pan. It is very important that you use this exact size pan for your brownies or you will have to adjust the cook time.
In a large microwaveable bowl, place the butter, semi sweet chocolate chips, and unsweetened chocolate squares and heat in the microwave for 1 minute. Remove and stir. Replace chocolate mixture in the microwave in 30 or 40 second increments stirring thoroughly in between until the mixture is smooth and melted. Set aside and cool to room temperature.
Combine eggs, vanilla, and sugar. Stir by hand, using a spatula or large spoon until the mixture is well blended. Add the cooled chocolate mixture and mix until well blended; set aside.
In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the flour mixture to the batter. Fold in the milk chocolate chips and pecans and pour into the greased pan.
Bake for 30 minutes, or until a knife inserted comes out clean. DO NOT OVERBAKE. Cool thoroughly before cutting into squares.
