Boil the potatoes and other vegetable until soft. In the final 5 minutes, add the cabbage. Drain and mash with some butter and splash of milk.
Tip into an oven proof dish, season, and add the cheese. Bake in the oven until browned on top. You can add some bacon to make interesting.
