Favorite almond cookied
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Cream butter thoroughly. Add sugar gradually and continue beating until mixture is light and fluffy. Add egg and almond extract. Mix well.
Sift together flour, baking soda salt. Add gradually to creamed mixture and beat until well blended. Add several drops yellow food coloring.
Shape though into one-inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet until and flatten slightly. Place almond in the center of each and brush cookie surface with glaze of one egg plus 2 tablespoons water. Fake at 375 for 13-15 minutes.
