These are great just by themselves, but even better with sausage gravy, or flavored butters
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease a large baking sheet. Sift dry ingredients into a large bowl. Cut in butter until mixture resembles rolled oats. Cover and refrigerate 20 minutes. Make a well in the center of the mixture add add enough buttermilk to hold it together. Stir quickly with your fingers until just combined. Turn mixture onto a lightly floured board and roll into 3/4 inch thick square.. Cut as many biscuits as you can with a biscuit cutter and place on a greased baking sheet, about one inch apart. Brush the tops of biscuits with the cream. Bake 13-15 minutes, until golden.
