Sift then measure 1 cup all purpose flour. Add baking powder and salt then resift.
Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in brown sugar till until dissolved. Cool this mixter slightly. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Add flour mixture. Pour into greased and floured 8x8 inch pan. Bake for about 30 minutes.
Cool on wire rack.
