Suggest a better descriptionMix brown sugar, cornstarch ans salt in a saucepan. Gradually stir in milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Boil one minute. Remove from heat. Gradually stir 1/2 of hot mixture into beaten egg yolks. Blend the egg yolk mixture back into the remaining hot mixture in the pan. Boil one minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Blend in butter and vanilla. Serve warm or chilled.
