Combine carrots, pears, pineapple with juice, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves in a 6-8 quart saucepan and bring to boil over high heat stirring frequently.
Reduce heat, cover and boil gently for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and whisk in pectin until dissolved.
Bring mixture to a full rolling boil that can't be stirred down stirring frequently.
Add sugar all at once and return to full rolling boil stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and skim foam if necessary.
Prepare jars, lids and bands for water bath canning.
Ladle hot jam into jars leaving 1/4" head space.
Wipe jar rims, place lids and screw on bands.
Process in water bath canner for 10 minutes.
Remove jars and cool
You may use a Ball Jam/Jelly maker if you choose. Just follow basic instructions.
